Event: Mystical Mines – Welsh Mining Folklore
Join our Supernatural Storyteller in his cosy cottage for ancient Tales of Welsh Folklore’s mysterious ‘Mine Monsters’.
Learn all about the mystical Tylwyth Teg (fairy folk), with stories of the curious Coblynau (Goblins) and the greedy Coal Giant.
Following your otherworldly storytelling session, create your own ‘Fantasy Folklore Map of Wales’, learning about mischievous mermaids, ancient toads, cursed boars and of course, dragons!

Storytelling sessions will take place in the Pit Head Baths Building
Storytelling sessions are pre-booked timed sessions, 45 minutes long. However, you can complete your Fantasy Folklore Map any time between 11am & 4pm.
Non-participating people do not need to purchase a ticket for themselves; however, they will not be able to participate in craft activities.
All pushchairs must be left outside.
Ticketholders should arrive promptly and no more than 15 minutes before their allocated start time. Please allow up to 15 minutes to walk from the Museum car park/main building
Weather-appropriate clothing should be worn.
Your ticket price does not include parking. Car parking charge is £5 per day.
All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for an alternative date or event. Please ensure that you are 100% happy with your choices before booking.
