Looking for fun, educational family experience to try this summer? We’ve got you covered. 

Whether you’re passionate about painting, or fancy trying something new during the school holidays, this is a memorable event that the whole family can enjoy together.  Unleash your inner creative side and join us to put your own spin on recreating a family painting from our art collection.  

Taking place in National Museum Cardiff’s beautiful Main Hall, this unique painting party is something you won’t want to miss.  Make memories to cherish.  

Everyone is welcome – so bring the whole family! (recommended age 6+). 

Topic: Mammoth and Baby  

To celebrate our newest arrival at the Museum, join us to recreate your own painting of the much loved by all Mammoth and Baby. 

 Learn to use fun mark making methods, such as finger painting and natural materials, to create your masterpieces.

Our family painting party is hosted by local artist Rachel Rasmussen.  She will guide you through step-by-step easy instructions, while painting along with you.

Important information: 

• All materials will be provided and are included in the ticket price.  
• The museum restaurant will be open until 4.30pm.  Grab a a drink and join the fun.   
• This is a family friend event that’s suitable for all ages and abilities (recommended age 6+). 
• Children must be always supervised and must not be left unattended or to take part without a guardian.  This is an event for all the family, and we strongly encourage the adults to book on too, so you can enjoy the painting experience together.  
• Tickets are non-refundable and spaces are very limited. Grab your tickets while you can!
