Course:Photographing Clothing: A Ffasiwn Workshop with Michael Alberry

National Museum Cardiff

This August, join us for a special series of creative workshops for the whole family alongside our exciting new photography exhibition: “It’s Called Ffasiwn.”

Join photographer Michael Alberry as you delve deep into the fun of fashion photography, inviting you to get creative with your camera phones to capture fashion and clothing in a fun and inspiring way.

Led by artist and educator Michael Alberry, this is a hands-on, playful and collaborative day of fashion image-making, discovering how gesture, simple props, and a little imagination can transform a photograph. Working in family pairs or small groups, you'll take turns in front of and behind the camera, guided through creative exercises that explore what makes a photograph interesting, surprising, or alive. Bring a camera phone, something to wear, a favourite piece of fabric or two, and plenty of curiosity, and learn some new ways to express yourself through fashion photography.

Suitable for ages 11+ and their families, this is the perfect way to get creative and inspired this summer.
