Course:Facing Images: A Ffasiwn Creative Writing Workshop with Alix Beeston

This November, join us for a special series of creative workshops alongside our exciting new photography exhibition: “It’s Called Ffasiwn.”  

When you look at a person in a photograph, do they also look back at you? What difference might it make to think of ourselves as being face-to-face with the people hung up on gallery walls? In this creative workshop, writer Alix Beeston will lead participants to experiment with imaginative, playful, and self-reflective ways of looking at and writing about the portraits of young people in It's Called Ffasiwn. In developing a series of short creative pieces in a variety of genres, participants will reflect on the power of seeing as well as the art of being seen – in art and life.  

All are welcome and no prior writing experience is necessary. Participants should bring along pen and paper (or a digital device) to facilitate their writing.  

Suitable for adults, this is the perfect way to get creative and inspired this November, whatever your writing experience.
