This summer, take a moment to pause and wind down in a very special yoga session, beneath the majesty of Helios. 

Lead by yoga instructor Eleri Morgan, this calming session invites you to unwind after hours in the historic grandeur of the Museum’s Main Hall - the perfect pick-me-up as the sun sets. Flow through gentle movements designed to rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. 

 Important information

  • The session is suitable for ages 18+. No one under this age will be granted entry to the event. 
  • The session will last approximately 60minutes. There is no entry to the galleries or the rest of the museum before or after the session. 
  • The event will take place in our historic Main Hall under Helios. Limited yoga mats are available, although we encourage you to bring your own. 
  • Any level of yoga experience is welcomed and encouraged, but please take care when booking and awareness of your own health is encouraged. 
  • Our cafe will not be open for this event, so please bring bottled water with you. Hot food and drinks are not permitted in the yoga space. 
  • All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for an alternative date or event.  Please ensure that you are 100% happy with your choices before booking.

 Admission

Free Entry

Amgueddfa Cymru belongs to everyone, and admission to the Museum is free thanks to funding from the Welsh Government. 

Booking a free day ticket in advance will ensure you receive key information and updates before your visit, helping you to make the most of your experience. 

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the Museum​.

 Accessibility

If you prefer to visit when we’re less crowded, there are usually fewer people on our site from 3pm each day.

Access Guide

 Parking

A visitor car park is situated behind the Museum, off Museum Avenue. Parking costs £6.50 and can be paid at the parking machines in the car park. 

Parking is free to blue badge holders. Disabled parking is also available at the front of the Museum, on Gorsedd Gardens Road.

 Eat, Drink, Shopping

  • The Museum café in the Main Hall is open every day 10am-4pm offering a range of drinks and snacks.

Reserve time in National Museum Cardiff's multifaith room.

This is a clean and quiet area for reflection, contemplation, and worship.

Please be aware that this space may be shared with other members of the public and must be kept clean.

Privacy screens are available if required.
