Led by artist Marion Cheung, join us for a reflective workshop where you will practice drawing simple objects, engaging exclusively with the museum’s curators and historic collection from world-renowned artists rarely seen by the public.
This beginner-friendly session focuses on simple techniques of observation; focusing on the beauty of shapes, before inspiring you to explore your own creative voice led by images, sound and imagination.
This session takes place in the reconfigured Gallery 15, featuring breathtaking sculptures from such artists as Degas and Rodin.
All skills are welcome, and all materials are included, though you are welcome to bring your own. Visit our museum shop where we have a variety of sketchbooks and pencils on offer.
Marion Cheung is a fine artist and educator with over 30 years of professional practice. Drawing underpins her creative process, forming the foundation of a mixed-media practice exploring landscape, memory, and transformation. Her work is held in the Celf ar y Cyd collection and the University of South Wales.
Our public programme is generously supported by players of Postcode Lottery.
