Event:Silent Disco
Motel Nights in partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru present: SILENT DISCO at the National Museum Cardiff.
Cardiff’s BIGGEST silent disco is back on Saturday 10th October with both our family-friendly and adult-only events!
Dance and sing the night away under the iconic dome of the museum’s foyer as our resident DJs battle it out for your lyrical loyalty!
With 3 channels of genre-spanning music to choose from, there will be something for everyone, so this is your chance to show off your moves in one of the city's most prestigious buildings!
FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT (6 pm - 8 pm)
All ages welcome, but the headphones are designed to fit ages 5+
Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
ADULT-ONLY EVENT (9 pm - 12 am)

- An iconic venue: It’s not every day you get to dance the night away after hours in one of Wales’ most iconic venues!
- Three DJs playing a range of genres: Armed with your own set of LED light-up headphones, so you can choose who you listen to at the flick of a switch! Will you be team red, green or blue?
- Motel Nights ZERO WASTE mini bar: Leave the cash at home! The only bit of plastic on this bar is your card; our zero waste bar serves a range of canned drinks, which is good for your bank balance and the planet.
- A sell-out experience: Our last event SOLD OUT in record time, so be quick! Grab your tickets while you can.
- High production values: We pull out all the stops for this event, using expert lighting technicians and, of course, multiple disco balls!

- Strobe lighting and flash photography may be used for the duration of the event.
- We capture photos and videos of the event for marketing and promotion purposes.
- All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Admission
Free Entry
Amgueddfa Cymru belongs to everyone, and admission to the Museum is free thanks to funding from the Welsh Government.
Booking a free day ticket in advance will ensure you receive key information and updates before your visit, helping you to make the most of your experience.
Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the Museum.

If you prefer to visit when we’re less crowded, there are usually fewer people on our site from 3pm each day.
Access GuideParking
A visitor car park is situated behind the Museum, off Museum Avenue. Parking costs £6.50 and can be paid at the parking machines in the car park.
Parking is free to blue badge holders. Disabled parking is also available at the front of the Museum, on Gorsedd Gardens Road.

- The Museum café in the Main Hall is open every day 10am-4pm offering a range of drinks and snacks.

Reserve time in National Museum Cardiff's multifaith room.
This is a clean and quiet area for reflection, contemplation, and worship.
Please be aware that this space may be shared with other members of the public and must be kept clean.
Privacy screens are available if required.
