Owen, Trude

Embroiderer and maker/restorer of Ark curtains and Torah scroll covers (1926-2003). Born in Brno, Czechoslovakia, to Jewish parents (Hilda and Hans Wlach). In 1938, her father started to formulate a plan to move his family to south Wales, where he later established an embroidery factory in Treforest.
