Cup, solid blue jasper, the foot broken off and missing, rounded curving sides, ribbed loop handle with an applied leaf at the shoulder and foliate moulding at the lower terminal, vertical engine-turned banding around the exterior lower body, decorated with applied ornament in white relief with around the centre of the exterior body two delicate groups of classical figures seated under trees, a flowering plant, an insect and a bird.
