Dark blue print on front of bag which is made of undyed (cream) cotton fabric.

Bag is made from one continuous piece of fabric which is joined with machine stitched seams on either side, and finished with overlock stitches. Top edges finished with double turn-back. The warp is made up of a pair of 2 yarns used together and single wefts.

Handle is a complex weave of a warp passing over 3, under 1 wefts and the one beside it doing the same, but off-set against the first. The 3rd warp passes over 1, under 1. Handle is 2.5cm wide. Also made from undyed cotton fabric.

Card label with print (in green, brown and black) relating to Soil Association is attached to handle with Jute (?) ties.
