Built 1944 by Wm Doxford & Sons, Sunderland for Rio Cape Line Ltd., managed by Prince Line Ltd. (Furness Withy). 1954 – Ownership transferred to Furness Withy. 1961 – Sold to Vergocean Steam Ship Co., London, and renamed VERGMONT. She was broken up at Whampoa, in 1971.
