Soup tureen and cover, silver, oval, standing on four cast lion mask and paw feet, the body double-curved with an undulating everted rim and two short applied cast handles in the form of beaded scrolling acanthus leaves with shell lower terminal set among scrolls and flowers, the undulating domed cover shaped to match and with a large cast finial in the form of a peony flower and leaves; the rim of the tureen and the shoulder of the cover decorated with applied single gadrooned bands, the body also with two identical cast rococo cartouches applied on opposite sides, comprising scrolls, shell-edging and two naked boys holding grapes and engraved with a crest of a demi-gryphon collared.
