Figure of a female musician, soft-paste porcelain, standing on an elaborate rococo base moulded with shells and c-scrolls and with perforated areas, the figure with long hair flowing from a knot and clad in eighteenth-century costume with an ornament and veil to the hair, shirt, bodice, skirt and apron, and shoes, the figure holds a musical instrument in front of her and carries a large purse on a long strap across the body, the figure supported by a tree stump with applied moulded flowers; the figure painted in polychrome enamels with realistically painted face and hair, yellow veil, pink and gilt bodice, a floral pattern in red, blue and gilt to the skirt, blue apron, and black shoes with blue flowers, the tree stump painted in greens and browns with purple, blue, red and yellow flowers, the base picked out in gilt and turquoise.
