Plate, bone china, circular shape with rounded foot-rim and curving spreading sides, the rim pierced and moulded with eight evenly spaced raised foliate-shaped areas, a shaped edge to the rim; painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a goldfinch clinging to a spreading thistle and surounded by four butterflies, the edge of the rim decorated with gilt foliate motifs. The plate broken and repaired.
