Roman stone inscription (Fortuna and Bonus Eventus)
The figure of Fortune has weathered badly and holds in her left hand a cornucopia. Bonus Eventus wears a toga, partly covered by an apron, and has high boots. In his right hand he holds a patera over a small altar. Broken across the upper half.
Fortuna was revered particularly as the protectress of bathers.
This stone is from the site of the Baths outside the east corner of the Roman fortress at Caerleon.
