Official seal matrix of the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway set in a wooden stand. Seal bears 2 shields of arms; sinister three heraldic eagles (Owain Gwynedd); dext lion rampant (Montgomery); above a harp and below a rose, leak, thistle and shamrock. Wooden stand with band of marquetry dots at centre between two bands of marquetry arrow pattern.
