Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Glyn Morgan was born in Pontypridd in 1926. This painting shows the dramatic hills and sky surrounding Porth from a viewpoint high above the town. Unlike other artists who focused on the gritty realism of the industrial valleys, Morgan uses expressive brushwork and heightened colour to encourage a different viewpoint on a landscape he had known since childhood.
