The Queer Emporium opened in the Royal Arcade, Cardiff, in June 2021 as a pop up for Pride Month. It is believed to be the first Queer Emporium in the UK, and possibly the world. It featured fifteen LGBTQ+ independent businesses, encouraging the LGBTQ+ community to shop queer during Pride Month. The venue also hosted events, starting with a drag night on Saturday 26 June 2021. The Queer Emporium was then confirmed as a permanent shop. It closed in August 2026.
