S.S. BURMOUNT (6854gt). Built 1941 as EMPIRE MOONRISE by Hong Kong & Whampoa Dock Co Ltd., Hong Kong for MoWT, managed by Sir R.Ropner & Co. 1944 –Managed by J.D.McLaren, London. 1945 – Sold to Gowan Steamship Co Ltd., , and renamed HARTLAND POINT managed by D.J..McLaren & Co Ltd. 1947 – Sold to James Burness & Sons Ltd., London, and renamed BURMOUNT, managed by Burness Shipping Co Ltd. 1954 – Sold to Compagnia Maritima Mensabe, Panama, and renamed MARILENA, registered in Costa Rica and managed by J.P. Hadoulis Ltd., London. 1957 – Sold to Compagnia Navigazione y de Comercio Athamas, and renamed ATHAMAS, registered at Costa Rica. She transferred to the Panamanian flag in 1959 and was managed by Aegis Shipping Co., Piraeus, from 1963. 1966 – Sold to Agenor Shipping Ltd., Cyprus. She arrived at Whampoa, Hong Kong, for breaking up in September 1966.
