self-propelled pick-up bales, JONES INVICTA; first registered 1954; (no:- NBT 888); powered by Morris Petrol driven engine; transmission to rear tractor-type wheels (with 10" x 28" pneumatic tyres) is through 2 gear boxes and variable speed belt pulleys; Pick-up reel is 1.5m wide, with elevator leading to feeder heads; driver's seat and controls are on left hand side and include foot and hand brake control; front mounted on 2 pneumatic-tyred wheels; original battery is missing and one front headlamp has been removed and seat broken; machine painted Jones red, and complete with original transfers: Jones Invicta Model SP/T; RASE Gold Medal 1950 Shillingford Oxford Premier Award for Jones Bros. for Invicta; Jones Baler; also with maker's nameplate on framework; with lubrication instructions [accession / calalogue card]
