Son of Isidore Wartski, Wales’ first practising Jew to be made mayor when he served as Bangor’s mayor during the Second World War. Talks about his childhood in Bangor, Jewish and non-Jewish relations in Bangor, his family’s status in Bangor - father owned a successful drapery business, his relationship with Wales and Welshess, leaving Wales and living in Israel, settling in Bornemouth and his thoughts on the future of Wales’ Jewish communities.
