Pot, coffee
Coffee pot and cover, with extensive engraved and stippled ornament; standing on a raised oval foot, stepped and with bright-cut engraving of husks around base of the short stem, oval shield-shaped body, upper part decorated with bright-cut engraving of foliate scroll lappets within linked floral swags, engraved below on one side with a coat of arms, quarterly azure a wolf saliant (Lloyd of Bronwydd) and or on a chief three martlets (Wogan) impaling argent, three scaling ladders, a spearhead embrued, on a chief a castle triple towered (Cadifor ap Dinawar for Jones of Haverfordwest) on an escutcheon of pretence a wolf saliant, engraved on the other side with a crest of a boar statant against a holly bush on a mount (Lloyd of Bronwydd and Owen of Henllys); ear-shaped wood handle with silver collars; curving beak-shaped spout, upper part engraved with flower trails; the hinged cover is domed and rised to a stained bone vase-shaped finial, grooved and with an elongated silver terminal bead, decorated with bright-cut engraving to the rim as on the foot, and with collar of rays around the base of the the finial. Contains, seated within the rim, an oval frame with grooved loop handle, edge pierced with holes, probably for a cloth bag.
