Bronze Age / Iron Age copper alloy bowl
Bronze bowl of sheet copper alloy with gently rounded base, rounded carinated shoulder and squared off everted rim. Two small strips with two rivet holes (one rivet surviving),perhaps p art of a handle strap attachment or repair, survives on one side of the vessel. Has some similarity to Late Bronze Age vessel known from Europe (Prussing, 1991) but similar forms from Britain and Ireland also date to the Iron Age (Raftery 1984; Fox 1961)
