Blue bardic robe consisting of gown and head-dress worn by Daniel Evans (Gwennog) following his admittance to the Gorsedd of the Bards. Made by his daughter during the economic depression of the 1930s, in order to save him the cost of buying a ready-made one. She was at the time in service in London, and used the whole of her week's annual holiday to return to Treorchy to complete the work. The materials were bought from Price's of Liverpool, and the pattern obtained by copying robes borrowed from Teifi Jones, the local "whipper-in".
