Four miners engage in conversation, against a swelteringly tinged backdrop. George Poole’s geometric figures have a stern quality to them. Poole was proud of his mining ties, being extremely privy to the need for camaraderie in this line of work. The faceless figures present give this conversation a sense of privacy, leaving us to ponder its details. This caption was written by Charles Obiri-Yeboah.
