This is a wide thin slab of stone incised with decorative graffitti and a name.

Description; The face is decorated with illustrations and a written name. From left to right there are: a simple spiral, a boat, and the name Donoec. The boat is abstract in design, three straight lines make a wide shallow U for the hull of the ship. Near the middle is a horizontal line forming the mast. Underneath are five diagonal lines which all curve left at the ends, forming the row of oars. On the far left is stern of the ship is a diagonal line ending in a triangle forming the tiller. Inside the ship are three angular and round lines forming the bodies and heads of the crew.

The name is a roman-letter inscription in rounded insular miniscule, reading: 'donoec' The report by Patrick Sims-Williams suggests the name Donoec is Irish.

The carving has been lightly incised with a knife. It is mudstone, probably locally derived.

Structure 618 Stone 9, was set upright to form the whole western side of the rectangular structure. The carvings faced outwards, towards the entrance to the cemetary. A complete diagram of the Structure 618 stones is available in the accession file.
