A 5 x 4 x 6 (5'' steam cylinder, 4'' Pumping cylinder and 6'' stroke) Joseph Evans & Sons tar pump. Used for pumping crude benzole at the N.C.B. tar works in Caerphilly. The pump is fixed to a purpose made channel iron stand made for display purposes. Painted green.
