Cooking-pot crane
One movement pot-crane, from Welshpool. It has a plain square-section vertical shaft with the horizontal arm terminating with a simple scroll decoration. These were common in Wales from the 1600s until the 1950s. They allowed pots to be moved closer or further away from the fire.
