Patchwork quilt, mid 1800s. Made by Esther Miles of Berthlwyd, Llanfabon, and later of Berthlwyd, Pontypridd. Top side of turkey red and white geometric patchwork. Plain white cotton reverse. Quilting pattern in chain stitch consists of a round motif of four leaves around circle, enclosed in a square panel of leaves. The first border is a diamond and outer border is of large beech leaves.
