David, Esther (Esther David (nee Miles) of Berthlwyd, Llanfabon and later of Berthlwyd, Pontypridd.)
Patchwork quilt made by Esther Miles, mid-19th century. Top side of turkey red and white geometric patchwork. Plain white cotton reverse. Quilting pattern in chain stitch consists of a round motif of four leaves around circle, enclosed in a square panel of leaves. The first border is a diamond and outer border is of large beech leaves.
