Plate, hard-paste porcelain, a version of the 'königsglatt' model, short foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim, a scalloped edge to the rim encloses a moulded border of ovals with sunken centres, rococo scrolls and feathering; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the well a large spray of flowers featuring a prominent pink rose, four further sprigs to the sides of the well and a butterfly concealing a flaw to the underside of the plate, the rim picked out in gilt with green centres to the ovals.
