Wyllie Colliery, photograph

Modern copy print of a framed photograph showing the sinking of Wyllie Colliery in 1926. Donor's father John Hugh Jones (aged 14) is 2nd row on far right. He was born on 25 August 1912 and with his brother Ivor Jones worked at the Wyllie Colliery. Both brothers lived at 2 Myrtle Cottages, Ynysddu. Bottom right is the donor's grandfather Huw Jones (born 6 Sept. 1879) and previously lived at 32 John Street, George Town , Merthyr Tydfil.
