Basket and stand

Niderviller Porcelain Factory

Basket, hard-paste porcelain, flaring foot-rim and flaring sides with a pierced basketwork pattern and two solid oval panels, pierced arcading around the top of the sides, to either side of the basket twin handles entwined by moulded straps; painted in polychrome enamels with to the two panels on the sides of the basket a landscape framed by puce scrolls, a bouquet of flowers with puce roses to the well of the basket, the foot-rim, pierced sides and rim picked out in green, red and blue enamels. Stand, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim, curving sides with basketwork moulding, pierced arcading around the rim; painted in polychrome enamels with to the well an oval panel containing a landscape and framed by puce scrolls and ribbons and green wreaths, the moulding to the sides and the arcading picked out in green, red and blue enamels.
