Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Square piece of a larger carpet designed by Graham Sutherland. The outer edge is sage green with regular pink circles running around each edge (on two edges these circles have been cut in half). Inside this outer border is a second square border made up of four black squares, one in each corner of the border, and an ochre band with short, sage green stripes running accross the bands inbetween. Inside this is a pink border. At the centre is a black square with an irregular, abstract pattern in sage green and beige.
Works bequeathed by the artist to the first Graham Sutherland Gallery at Picton Castle, 1976
