Tankard
Tankard, silver, standing on an applied moulded foot ring, the raised body with a slightly convex base and tapering straight sides with an applied moulded band round its lower part, applied moulded lip, hollow (raised and seamed) S-scroll handle with shield-shaped heel and attached to the body with an oval plate, stepped domed cover with applied cast scrolled thumbpiece pinned to cast lambrequin-shaped hinged section mounted on the handle; the front engraved with the arms of Roydenhall within a lozenge (to signify a widow) and in an elaborate 'laub- und bandelwerk' cartouche incorporating a scallop shell and a mask.
