LINEN, embroidered with coloured silks in cross and satin stitches. Various tree, flowering plant, bird, crown and animal designs, mostly in pairs symmetrically arranged. Inscribed: “ELIZABETH HOOPER / MARCH 9TH 1743.”
There is a narrow border of lozenge pattern. Bought in Cardiff.
