Dish, centre
Centre or fruit dish, oval shaped dish with a plain, rounded rim with scalloped edges, standing on a tall pedestal with a flaring foot with flattened foot rim and scalloped edge, a rococo-revival style scroll handle at each end of the dish; at the centre of the dish is an over and underglaze hand painted, assymetric composition of two pink roses and a yellow and purple tulip, the edge of the dish is embossed with motifs comprised of vine leaves and grapes painted with a lilac glaze and gilt highlights, between these are embossed flowers coloured in the same lilac glaze, from which extend flowing tendrils of stylised foliage painted in gilt; this combination of motifs is repeated on the foot; the exterior surface of the bowl is decorated with four single flowers, two in purple and two in orange, and there are plain bands of gilt at the interior and exterior rim and also at the foot rim, the handles are partly gilt.
