Shell-shaped dessert dish, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a tapering footrim, steep sided with alternating lobes (four large and five small) with ridge-moulded pointed lip; London-decorated in Canton enamel style, the border with panels of birds reserved on a dry-blue ground with prunus blossom, gilt band around rim, gilding to embossed shell design on lip, gilt band around centre with inner band of lined triangles interspersed with five leaves.
