From the Llanwrtyd district, Brecknockshire.
The painting and decorating of a truncheon was more than just ornamentation - by having a royal crown or coat of arms, it showed that the constable was acting with the authority of the Crown
Constable's wooden truncheon, painted dark blue wiith gold painted lettering G.R. S.C. C.29.Straight cylindrical shape (no turned or tapered parts). Metal loop at one end (for attachment of carrying cord?)
