Campana-shaped vase, soft-paste porcelain, with square foot, spool-shaped stem, a lip round the rim, a row of applied pearls round the rim and stem, entwined snake handles; enamelled with a scene depicting the Woodman from William Cowper’s poem 'The Task', a pale blue ground and gilded with classical scrolls inside the rim, with acanthus leaves round the stem and with caillouté patterning on the foot, the handles completely gilded.
