'West Wales' fabric (fabric 8). Soft, light grey fabric with pinkish buff or buff/purple surfaces and containing numerous water-rolled grits of all sizes. A minimum no. of 7 vessels is present; all have plain, simple rims, often with a shallow and regular groove running along the centre of its flat upper edge.
