Tile, square, white earthenware body with large white grit inclusions, cream coloured glaze with brown speckles extending over front face and edges, the reverse moulded with with a pattern of cross-hatches to enable mortar to adhere to the surface; hand-decorated over the glaze in a simple, stylised manner in green and black enamels, in the bottom left corner is a large vase with a plate behind it, above which are vertical and horizontal lines in green and black, at the centre is an image of a woman looking over her shoulder at the plate with a surprised expression, wearing a long dress and hat with her arms raised, beneath her is the inscription 'SECONDS' in green enamel.
