Earthenware teapot and cover, 'Cube' shape, slip cast with mould line visible under spout, elongated octagonal base, long sides rising vertically. Remaining six sides curving gently outwards, back three sides rising to a single inverted shoulder, front three sides curving forward to a high spout. High rectangular handle, the lower part following the curve of the body, joined with a pronounced foot just above base and on the shoulder. Rectangular rim, cushion shaped cover, steam hole, with a small cushion shaped knop. Honey coloured glaze. Teapot and cover painted with a large geometric pattern of flat interlocking blocks of black, yellow, old gold, hair brown, silver grey, and green enamel; wavy edge to green enamel and interlocking pale silver/grey line. Upper side of knop enamelled black, no green enamel on cover. Paint texture fairly flecked and striated. Firing speckles, more on one flat side than the other, small chip on footrim painted yellow, slight flaking on lowest square of black enamel. Cover can be placed to line up mustard and yellow blocks.
