Name plate
A section of brass nameplate, with the letters NLLIF remaining – the nameplate is broken at both ends.
The nameplate possibly belonged to the ‘GLYNLLIFON’ steam engine which was built by De Winton of Caernarfon in 1880, and worked at Pen yr Orsedd Quarry until it was scrapped in 1937. The loco had a vertical boiler, and worked on a 2 foot gauge track.
