Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
LINEN CANVAS, unbleached, embroidered with coloured wools in eyelet and cross stitches. At the top, in eight horizontal rows separated by narrow stripes, are capital letters of the alphabet, first in duplicate, then singly; small letters to x; and numerals to 17. Below, in six lines, is the following partly illegible inscription: "... Her sampler / February the 28th Aged 11 / ... With all thy soult (sic) love / . . . ant as thyself / . . . neighbour love Wenvo / school 1844". There is a border of a narrow stripe.
