Teapot and cover, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a flat base, globular body, wishbone handle, moulded octagonal spout, slighly domed cover with spherical finial; decorated in monochrome black enamel, on one side with a harbour scene with three figures in the centre, one with a pole, ship and large vase with cover to right, other side with a harbour scene, two figures in the foreground, one leaning on a barrel the other on a package, ship and figures to left, both scenes within gilt and purple lustre, shaped cartouches with purple and iron-red scrolling to top half, polychrome flowers to bottom half, purple and gilt decoration to handle, gilding to spout, ornamental gilding around cover, cover decorated in monochrome black enamel with a panoramic scene a figure on one side opposite a barrel, gilding to rim and finial.
