Teapot, rectangular, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a rectangular straight sided foot rim, bulbous body waisted at base, everted shoulder and curved collar; spout with scallop moulding at base and moulded scrolls at the top; high wishbone handle with an inner closed loop; plateau-shaped lid with a grooved pyramid finial; transfer printed scenes in grey enamel on either side of the body and cover; on one side a country house with formal gardens, on the other, five children with their nurse, playing with a cart and a dog; black enamel bands to the rims, finial and collar, and detailing on the spout and handle.
