Prices and particulars of slates of the Talysarn Slate Quarries Ltd, Dyffryn Nantlle, dated 1911. The prices given are for ‘Bangor slates’ (‘blue and purple, and ‘green and wrinkled’) in various sizes (ranging from 30’’ x 16’’ to 8’’ x 8’’), and of various quality (‘best’, ‘second best’, and ‘seconds’ quality slates). The price list also gives details of discount available on the purchase of slates e.g. 2 ½ % discount for cash. The price list is printed on cream paper, and is folded down the centre. The donor’s family were timber merchants in Taunton, Somerset. They supplied timber and slate to local builders and merchants, and as a result acquired a collection of slate price lists.
