Longton Hall (Factory)

Plate, soft-paste porcelain, circular shape with flattened-off foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with strawberry plants, fruit and foliage; delicately painted in purples, greens and yellows with to the centre of the well a scene of three exotic birds in a grassy landscape with trees and shrubs, the moulded strawberries and foliage to the rim overpainted in naturalistic greens, purples and reds.
