Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Blanket, 19th century. Dark indigo blue wool and natural white linen. Double cloth, narrow loom, very finely woven wool, linen and cotton. Pattern of stripes and geometric motifs with closely woven border. Ends rolled and hemmed, overstitching on selvage at sides. Predominantly navy on top and white on underside. Seamed down the centre. Woven near Caerwys, Flintshire, from linen spun by donor's grandmother or great-grandmother.
